Here we go again another vote on a dues increase this year. Is number three the magic number for the Board to understand the desires of the members? The POA board has totally controlled of the agenda. An all retiree membership to push there agenda, but the members who vote do not trust the board for good reasons. A group of full time retiree is pushing for a new activity building no matter what it cost or how much money the restaurant or golf course losses each year. During some comments by one of board member a meeting with the developer was made public, content was to buy this support for this increase, what you think he wants in return for this support (to build the new activity building). How many times has this happen before? This month the Board pasted two new resolutions one to put voters minds at easy that they would have a chance to vote on any building project. But not 15 minute later one of the board members stated any resolution can be changed next month or anytime later by the same board or a new board. So do you feel good about this resolution? They add more money to the building fund earlier this year; they did not transfer the $404,760 in the building fund to the general fund. What do you think? The Second resolution was a more restrictive to lot Consolidations requirements, if there goal to stop all new owner or future home building they have a good start. Last month they talk about a law to require property owner to mower there lawns, what to you think 2”or 4” tall, who’s going to measured it each week, how many weeds can you have, the time of day for watering etc. Before long the only people living here will be the board members. No wonder people sell there property of sue the board, I believe this is a record year for tax sales, 21 lots in sugar springs with a starting bid of $687.17. Why do you think people can not sell there lot including the 50 lot the POA can not sell.
